Rules
1. Rules
1.1. General
The following definitions are binding for all clans/communities of the Call of Juarez Gaming League (COJGL) and their members. Everyone who registers at the COJGL guarantees that he understood the rules and agrees with them.
The league crew can always change the rules. All changes will be announced in the news or are defined in special rules of the particular cup/ladder.

1.2. Behavior
All players have to treat their opponents respectfully. If a player nevertheless behaves bad and breaks the rules, he/she has to accept the consequences like a warning or other penalties. Furthermore you risk a kick/ban for your team.

1.3. Game version
Every player has to own the original version of the game.
If there's no special announcement you have do play with CoJ 1.1.0(1).0.

1.4. Times
All times on the website are CET.

1.5. Other things
If a player or a team has suggestions to improve the league he can write it in the forum or contact us with an email to support[at]coj-gaming.com

2. Cheating
2.1. General
Every form of cheating during a match is strictly forbidden and will be punished very hard. We will also punish the team (with 5 PP) because it's responsible for their players .
Players who cheat outside of an COJGL-Match can be banned with enough proves.

2.2.1. Allowed programs
All voice programs are allowed (e.g. Battlecom, Gamevoice, Teamspeak, Ventrilo etc.).

2.2.2. Forbidden programs and config changes
Programs which give the players big advantages are strictly forbidden (for example cheats or modified driver).
Additionally are all programs which change the game itself also forbidden.

2.2.3. New programs and/or modifications
New programs are forbidden as long as the use is not confirmed by the league (for appliances, please write in the forum).

3. Teams and players
3.1 Player registration
Every player is allowed to create only one account!
To join ladders/cups at least the team leader has to write a correct email address and an other contact alternative like the xfire account in his profile.

3.2 Team registration
Every clan/community is allowed to create extra teams for different leagues/ladders (if extra teams are needed for a ladder/cup it is mentioned in the special cup rules).

4. Ladders and cups
4.1. Ladder

4.1.1. General
Teammanagers can always challenge an other team. The other team may decline the challenge.

4.1.2. Join/leave
It's always possible for players and teams to join and leave a ladder. No matter when the season ends/starts.

4.2. Cups and other events

4.2.1. Joining the cup
If you want to join a cup, look at the special cup rules to get more information about the conditions

4.2.2. Leaving the cup
Usually, you can always leave a cup. Special conditions are mentioned in the special cup rules.

5. Matches
5.1. Matchpreparation
If you want to challenge a team, you have to do this on the website (see HowTo challenge someone {LINKED}coming soon) and it is always good to contact the opponent team in xfire, icq or another chat program.

5.1.1 Screenshots/results
There have to be screenshots of the match to upload them to the league website after the war to have a proof that the match has been played and that the result is correct.
If a team wishes that every player makes screenshots when they say it during the war(e.g. for cheat controle) ALL players have to do this. After the war, the opponent team can request the screens from the players in the forum or personally.

IMPORTANT: What happens if a screenshot of a player is missing?
If 1 player misses a screenshot: the player isn't allowed to play at the next match and the result will be edited: 3 points less for the team with the missing screenshot.
If 2 players don't have screenshots it's the same system: both aren't allowed to play in the next match and -6 points for the team with the missing screenshots.
If 3 players don't have screenshots the team loses the match instantly.

There are two ways of sending the screenshots to an admin:
1.send an email with the screenshots to result[at]coj-gaming.com
2.Post the screens in a new thread in the forum (category 'matches')

All screenshots have to be uploaded at the page in the next 48 hours after the war.

Both parties are responsible for having the correct results on the COJGL website. Both teams have the possibility to write a match report. The admins can post an own report.
If the teams don't agree about the result they should have screenshots ready to prove their opinion.

5.1.2. Start
Before a match can start, both teams have to make clear that they want to start.

5.1.2. Nickname ingame
Every player has to use his/her real nick and clantag ingame.

5.1.3. Choosing the players
To prevent unnecessary lagging in clanwars, in international clans, european players must be preferred for matches!

5.2. Server
5.2.1. Choosing the server

The server has to give both teams the same chance. The pings have to be acceptable. Both teams have to agree the choice of the server (we recommend testing the server before the match).

5.2.2. Choosing of maps and teamsides
Each team selects one map whereon two rounds are played.
You chose the side like the following: The own team can choose the side on the opponent's map. The opponent team can choose the side on your own map.
If there's a draw you do not play another map. The team with more rounds wins.

5.2.3. Maps
You can choose the following maps in cups/ladders:

Original Maps: Highnoon, Raid, Bankrobbery, Minencounter, Okcorral, Lastbullet, Burrito, Blitz, Crusade, Den, El Paso, Fortstanton, Getaway, Hideout, Rockexpress, St. Peter's Gate, Twilight

Custom Maps: The Blackstone Gunfight, City, Fort Rough, Dodge City, Dutch Tower, FarWest, Fort Musketeers, Goldball, Hang 'em High, Last Stop, Muraille, Nowhere, Oblivion, Pirates, Ranch, Riversplash, Spudland, The Eldorado, Tombstone, Trainstaition, Treehouse, Watercity

If you choose an original map the opponent has to play the map with you. If you want to play a custom map your opponent has to approve that.
All maps will be played as skirmish! If it's not possible to play skirmish on a map (e.g. Raid) you'll play robbery. It's allowed to use the gold in this case.

5.3.Bugs
It is forbidden to use bugs in the game. Places where you can go to with the normal physical specifications of the game are allowed.

5.4.1. Bad behavior of the opponent
If an opponent breaks a rule, you can send an e-mail to support[at]coj-gaming.com. You should describe the incident in the e-mail and send proves (like screenshots) with it. Another way is posting the incident in the forum (category 'matches').

5.4.2. Playerdrops
If a player drops out of the game (e.g. the “under terrain”-bug, technical problems...) the team can call a substitute. If both teams agree all can wait in the next round till the player joins the server again.

5.5.1. Number of players
If one team doesn't have enough players they can play with all they have. It depends on the other team if they play with one player less as well. Another alternative is to delay the match with acceptance of both teams.

5.5.2. Change of Players
You can always change players during the game but you have to inform the other team before you do that!

5.5.3. Server Crash
If the server crashes, make a screenshot of the scores before you get kicked from the server. After the server is online again, continue playing from the last scores.
Example: The Server is crashing after Team 1 won 6 rounds and Team 2 won 3 rounds. After the server is online again Team 1 needs 4 rounds to win. Team 2 needs 7 rounds before Team 1 has won 4 rounds.

5.6.1 Universal Anti Cheat 2 (UAC2)
UAC2 is from now on a must in all CoJ1 Leagues!
You can find a tutorial in this topic of our CoJ GL Forum. If you have any problems or need any help on this topic, contact and CoJ GL admin or write in the official support forum of UAC. Your UAC ID is required to be able to participate at an event.
We recommed to make sure UAC2 works correctly before playing a match.

5.6.2 MatchID
The MatchID must be set as following:
cojgl_[clan1]vs[clan2]date (YYYYMMDD)
All letters lowercase.

For example:
cojgl_tukvstro20100322

5.6.3 Match begin
The match can only begin when all players that are participating are listed in UAC.

5.6.4 Penalties
If one player of a team can't show any proper screenshots made by UAC or hadn't UAC running while a match, the team 4 penalty points for the match and the player is not allowed to play in the next match.

If two players of a team can't show any proper screenshots made by UAC or hadn't UAC running while a match, the team get's 8 points for the
match and both players are not allowed to play in the next match.

If three or more players of a team can't show any proper screenshots made by UAC or hadn't UAC running while a match, the team is not allowed to play for several weeks!

6. Punishments
6.1. General
If a player disobey the rules there will be consequences (if it was a team match, the player AND the team will have the consequences). The type and grade depends on the situation. The staff reserves the right to disqualify the team, whose member has committed the violation.

The admin team decides if the result of the match is influenced by the misdoing. Misdoings of the loser team rarely lead to a complete match deletion.

Usually, the Penalty Points will be deleted after a period of time.

NOTE: To prove misdoings a screenshot is always necessary!

6.1.1. Insults
All insults which are related to the league will be punished. That includes everything like the match commentaries, xfire chats, emails etc. if the connection to a league match is clear.

1 PP = “normal” insult
2 PP = harder insult
3 PP = a lot hard insults

The number of Penalty Points also depends on the number of current active Penalty Points. If it's the first time the admin can, also depending on the grade, only give a warning to the player/team.

6.1.2. Spamming
The excessive posting of senseless stuff, spamming, will be punished as follows:
1 PP = first incident
2 PP = second incident
3 PP = third and all following incidents

6.2. Disrespectful behavior
It's necessary that all players play fair and respectful to have nice comfortable matches. It's possible to give PP for every behavior that is not fair and disrespectful.

6.2.1. Absence
If your enemy doesn't appear within 30 minutes after the war should have started you have to take a screenshot of your players waiting on the server to prove that you were there. Then upload the screen with an email to result[at]coj-gaming.com or post it in the league forum (category 'matches').

If the opponent doesn't have enough players until 30 minutes after the begin of the war, the opponent has to play with the players they have (a 4vs3 for example). If a player comes e.g. one hour later, he can still join the match (of course you can try to move the war to the next week e.g., but only if the opponent team agrees).

To avoid all this unnecessary things we recommend to always have a substitute and to meet not later than half an hour before the match starts.

6.2.2. Match interruption
If you opponent leaves the match on purpose before it ended, your team gets all points which are left.

6.2.3. Kick/Ban of players in game
It is not allowed to kick/ban players from the server during the match. It will be punished (we recommend to make the server only as big as necessary!).

6.3. Delusion/faked matchmedia
If you try to bluff admins and other playeres with wrong details or faked proves it will be punished very hard!

6.4. Use of players who are not allowed to play

6.4.1. Prohibited players
6 penalty points if a prohibited player plays in a match. There is a chance for such a player to play in the match: if the opponent team agrees (a screenshot is necessary to prove that the opponent agreed!!!).

6.4.2 Players of another team
It is strictly forbidden to play with a player of another clan/community! If you disrespect this rule it results in 6 PP for the own team and 6 PP for the player.

6.5. Missing matchmedia
Matchmedia are things like screenshots you have to take during the match. One missing match media results in 1 PP for each team. If there are missing a couple of things the teams can get up to 3 PP.

6.6 Penalties in Cups
As soon as you reach 10 PP in a cup, you're kicked instantly.

7. Other things
7.1 Admin players
If a league admin plays a match he/she is not allowed to
- edit the result on the match
- give penalty points to players/teams
An other admin has to handle that.

7.2 Players in more than one team
A player, who has two or more teams, can just play for one of them in a tournament/ladder. He/She has to decide before the beginning of the event which team he/she is going to play for. The player can't change between the teams anymore after the event has started. But in another tourney he can choose his/her team again!
Exceptions in special ladders are mentioned in the ladder rules.
